Textures

Introduce different textures to your baby.

What You Need:

• Household objects of various textures that are safe for your baby to touch, such as a piece of paper, a comb, a piece of cloth, or a clean sponge

What To Do:

1. Let your baby feel an object.
2. Talk about what it is and how it feels: “This paper is smooth. This sponge feels rough.”

Variation:
1. Gently brush textured cloths (satins, velvet, wool, or cotton) on your baby’s skin. Talk to your baby using words that describe the cloth. For example, “Doesn’t the satin feel smooth? And the cotton is so soft.”
2. Play together on different surfaces, such as a carpet or a futon, and talk about how they feel.
3. When your baby is old enough, go outside and sit on the grass. Pick up nearby objects like a twig or a leaf. Talk about how each object feels: “This twig feels rough and bumpy.”

Safety Alert: Do no let your baby play with a small object or put it in her mouth. Items that are small enough to fit through a toilet paper tube can cause choking if swallowed. Check the size of items for safety before you let your child play with them.

Baby foods

Hi bloggers ! I recently started giving my son solids he's 7 months exact and I personally like making foods myself for him. Not that there's anything wrong with ready to eat baby foods but I just rather not feed him foods with preservatives just yet. I already finished with the veggies and now I'm on to fruits. Today I gave him Apple pear for the second time so far he loves it ! This is what it looks like
I give him about 3 tablespoons in each feeding for 3 days. Just peel of the skin add some water and blend.
Berries, pineapples, orange melon aren't good for babies tummys so I would stay away from those.

DIY home projects

So turns out that one day I was home and the baby fell asleep so I didn't have much to do. I remembered my husband had an old white table that he brought from his old house and it was a pretty good table but needed some TLC. I bought small pieces of wood and black spray paint from #homedepot spent no more than $12.00. Here's a before and after picture .

Before:
Painted the legs black already
After:
Died the wood a cherry brown and bought matching chairs .
